Parker had his second birthday in June. He had some great parties. Thanks to all of you who shared with us. Karsyn helped him open all his gifts and then later said he would share them with his baby brother.

For the most part, Parker was pretty agreeable. He had his 2 year well-child check up and passed with flying colors. He even got to pee in a cup and amazingly enough filled it a little under half-way. This was fun for him and he decided he needed to hand his pee cup to the nurse himself. Wow, did her eyes get big as he walked up to her with the cup and said I don't pill it, here ya go. He loves to pee in the big pot and has even pooped there too, flushing it he says, "Bye bye poopoo see ya waiter." He is on his way to using the potty pretty regularly (today, Neil said he only changed one diaper and the rest he used the potty). Pretty entertaining at our house. Amazing how your mode of entertainment changes when hanging out with toddlers. Parker is starting to talk up a storm, counting, learning colors. However, he talks on his terms and when he feels like it. He decides if you are conversation worthy or not, can be a bit offending I suppose. He loves to swim, is learning to ride his bike (legs are a bit short at the present), loves to drive his truck, must put his own shoes on (gets the right feet too), and is in a huge, "me do it" stage. "ME DO IT," can be heard at any time from Parker. He must get himself into and out of his car seat so going anywhere we have to add about 5 min. in and 5 min. out of the car and adjust for the time spent. He now prefers to drink from a sippy cup with the lid off, of course holding it himself, "Me hold it!" He must run his own bath water, wash his own hair, brush his own teeth, and if we help him with any of the above, he must start the whole process over to make you realize that you will not help him and that you will not forget it. He is quite the character. He loves Caillou (sp??), Ernie on Sesame Street, not Elmo so much, but Ernie. He kinda likes the Teletubbies and Barney but his dad doesn't remind him when they are on. He worships his big brother, Deano, and at the same time, well they're brothers, need I say more? They are pretty tight, actually play really good together, and run to each other's rescue when discipline is in order. They are such a blessing, a gift. We are all so lucky to have them in our lives. They remind us what life is about, what is important and if you ever are having a rough day, just stop and try to see the world through a child's eyes. Take time for the little things and realize they are what is important. Well on with the terrible twos, however I think three's have been harder with Karsyn. Welcome to being 2 Willis.
